Our 2019-20 Season Agenda is still in the works and we will announce our performance plans soon! We will begin with intensive study of composition theory as well as iconic modern dance choreographers. Students who have participated in at least one year of Company and are interested in choreographing a group dance will share their intentions with the Company Director. Choreographers will be chosen based on their level of skill, history of commitment, and experience.
Students will then implement theory into practice as they choreograph dance works for their peers in the class. The class time will be divided into a rehearsal schedule that is dependent on the number of choreographers selected for the season. Each student’s specific schedule will vary depending on the dances in which they are placed, and they will have scheduled break times between dances.
Company Requirements: Enrolled in at least one Ballet IV or higher AND at least one Modern IV or higher class, or receive a recommendation from the instructor. Consistent commitment to the company is essential for this group, as students rely on one another to be in attendance.
